Celebrating its 60th year, the Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Championship, has become an August tradition for Shelburne, Ontario.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Shelburne, the event features Canada's top fiddlers in competition for more than $17,000 in prizes!

The festivities begin on Thursday with an evening concert; the contest proper starts with the playdowns on Friday and concludes with the finals on Saturday evening. Come and enjoy Canada's top fiddlers competing for the most prestigious prize, the Canadian Open Champion.

Proceeds support the charitable work of the Shelburne Rotary Club and other local service clubs and organizations.

Scott Woods Returns to Shelburne!

On Thursday, August 5 at 7:30 p.m., the Rotary Club of Shelburne is pleased to welcome Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Champion and Canadian Grand Masters Fiddle Champion Scott Woods. Scott and his band are sure to put on a foot-stomping, crowd-pleasing show! For more information about Scott, visit his website at www.scottwoods.ca.

The show will feature the most requested old time tunes that Scott has collected from his fans across the country.  It will feature many old favourites, some country and gospel music and lots of step dancing and humour.
